It takes place in the same world as The Wizard of Oz, and begins just prior to Dorothy’s arrival.
The cast of Wicked currently includes Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), David Witts (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Chris Jarman (Doctor Dillamond), Rosa O’Reilly (Nessarose), and Jack Lansbury (Boq).
This Christmas, five extra matinee performances have been added to the show’s schedule. These 2.30pm performances will be on Monday 24 December, Thursday 27 December, Friday 28 December, Sunday 30 December 2018 and Thursday 3 January 2019.
Later this year, Wicked, which is currently the 5th longest-running musical playing in the West End, will become the 13th longest-running West End show ever, when it plays its 5,141st performance on 8th December, surpassing Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story.
