Further casting has been announced for upcoming West End production of True West, set to star Kit Harington at the Vaudeville Theatre. Sam Shepard’s play, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 1983, is about a Hollywood writer working on his latest blockbuster script, when his unruly brother appears and convinces the producer to make a different film based on his idea instead. It runs at the Vaudeville Theatre from 23rd November.
By interesting coincidence, Sam Shepard's powerful sibling drama True West is being revived simultaneously both in the West End and on Broadway this month. That's testament to this 1980 play's enduring appeal and in particular its ability to attract star players who want to play its opposing brothers.
